Colin Mantripp was born in 1957 and brought up in a family of Artists and Craftspeople, many generations on both sides of his family, both in England and France. I understand period style as well as modern, I understand ‘line’ which few people do. I have full capabilities as a Master Carver. I can create style, having been fully schooled in period style and taste, I live and work in a world of three dimensions and spirit. Look at our work, let it enfold around you, let it enrich you. We supply carved work for some of the best interior designers and joinery firms in the world, as well as for our own commissions from conception to completion. Engraved lettering, handrawn in any typeface or language is also undertaken. I have lectured at the Crafts Council and the V&A Museum on woodcarving.
