Course Descriptions

Here at Lillyfee Arts and Crafts Barn, we regularly open our fully resourced studio to a small group of students (maximum 16) who would like to learn or improve their skills in 'Wood Carving / Antique Furniture Restoration'.

Lillyfee Studio is a professional Arts & Crafts workshop where we design and make furniture, architectural woodwork and wood carving, and also the fine restoration for those with a sense of style.

The Antique Restoration course covers all aspects of Antique Furniture Restoration, including:

• initial assessment
• veneering and French polishing

Many varieties of antique wood and veneer will be available at a small charge should you need them.

On the Wood Carving course you are welcome to choose whatever subject you like, including:

• 3D Modern Sculpture
• Chip Carving
• Figure Carving
• Engraved Lettering

Help will be given with design, tool care and sharpening, and all aspects of carving wood.

Tea/Coffee is provided. The local public house is within easy walking distance can provide good basic cooking, why not bring a picnic and enjoy our tranquil surroundings.
