The Renaissance Workshop

Think of a group of players acting out a Shakespeare play in some quiet backwater of an innkeepers yard - perhaps a comedy , perhaps tragedy ...voices working 'in-the-round' so that when the time comes and the piece finished, the unruly audience can all see and hear the plot....

...so it is with woodcarving, much like the players the woodcarvers all work together leading and following, the one with the other to produce the finest hand-crafted pieces.

Slowly from wood comes a thing fashioned, shaped, moulded, singing and then it takes on a life of its own.

Lillyfee has strength and life. We are small enough to allow the skills and talents of each Artist or Crafts person working here to shine forth. There are 16 full-time members of the Lillyfee Orchestra employed here, and we can handle large projects quickly, efficiently and with flair.

The sound of a happy studio is like music. You can hear the rhythm and pace as you enter the room. If Donatello walked in tomorrow, I feel he would be quite at home in the creative atmosphere.
